There's truly no game releasing in 2026 that looks quite like Denshattack.

Perhaps best described as the dazzling bastard child of Jet Set Radio, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and I Love Katamari, Denshattack allows you to take control of a gravity-defying train and skate your way across Japan while trying to take down the sinister Miraidō corporation.

In addition to the more "typical" skating gameplay - a term we scarcely feel comfortable using around this very atypical game - you'll also take on bosses, some of which include, in the developers' words, "mecha magical girls... moving castles, and [a] mechanical worm."

The result is a game that looks familiar and different at the same time, obviously taking cues from the aforementioned titles while also rolling them together into something that feels wholly distinct.

If this is even a fraction as good as it looks, it deserves to be one of 2026's big indie sleeper hits.

Denshattack releases spring 2026.
