8 Disney Worlds For Kingdom Hearts III Which Would Be Far Better Than Toy Story

1. Star Wars

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Darth Vader fought for the Heartless and was defeated by a spiky-haired, key-wielding chap named Sora.”

Now, do I personally want to see Star Wars in my Kingdom Hearts? No. But, as much as I'm not fussed by the concept, its universe and lore is undeniably far more suited to a Kingdom Hearts crossover than Toy Story is. This is because, in both Star Wars and Kingdom Hearts, there is a never-ending battle between the light and the dark, with characters continually struggling with the idea of being corrupted.

Granted, Square Enix confront inner corruption in a more overt manner with hearts being stolen and characters discussing the darkness within themselves like poetic emos, but the theme is essentially the same. Therefore, the universe of Star Wars would not feel out of place, and scenarios such as Emperor Palpatine trying to bring Sora to the dark side wouldn’t feel unnatural or forced.

Even when ignoring the thematic parallels between both franchises, Star Wars has a lot more potential when it comes to gameplay. You could team up with Luke, Han, or Yoda, you could battle Darth Vader in a tense one-on-one, and you could be rewarded with a Lightsaber Keyblade after completing the world’s story missions.

If Star Wars is not a world in Kingdom Hearts III, then at least have Darth Vader be a secret and super-hard boss fight in the Olympus Colosseum.
