Aliens: Colonial Marines: 10 Classic Moments It Needs To Reference

7. Face To Face (Alien 3)

Yes, the scene is almost ruined by some of the horrendous visual effects, but there's absolutely no mistake the terrifying power of the above shot, which sees the xenomorph corner Ripley and taunt her, hissing and dribbling all over her, as she can do nothing but whimper in horror. It's one of the best scenes in Alien 3, and an iconic image in of itself, one which could be ably replicated in Colonial Marines. Picture the scene: all Hell has broken loose, you're separated from the rest of your team, and you've been disarmed. A xenomorph slinks out of a vent and waltzes over to you; you're badly wounded and can do nothing. You can either have a xeno-tongue lash a hole out of your frontal lobe, or you can fight back with whatever practical weapon is within arm's length; if pitched as an interactive QTE sequence, this could be magnificently cinematic and on par with the original iconic moment.
