Aliens: Colonial Marines Gets New Trailer With Release Date

Aliens: Colonial Marines will now officially be arriving in stores on February 12, 2013 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. No doubt this will be the US release date, but it's safe to bet the Europe release will fall on February 15. Many of you have surely been following this highly anticipated title from Gearbox Software, but for those of you hiding in the shadows let me give you a little insight as to why this will blow your mind. Gearbox Software has been working extremely hard to deliver a game that does the Aliens universe some serious justice. This includes using original sound files from the films, and right down to recreating environments with distinctive authenticity from the film. Making the game both true to the franchise while creating a truly engaging and fun title has been the core focus for the team, and it looks like they're doing a damn fine job. Colonial Marines had originally been slated to launch this year, but Gearbox has decided to take the extra time to polish off the title and it is surely set to pay off big time. The wait will be long, mental health will be questioned, but in the end we will all be able to shout, "Game over man, game over".
