BULLY Sequel Coming After Max Payne 3?

Rockstar waiting until they have the new Max Payne game out of the way before turning attention to crafting Bully 2.

In an interview yesterday Rockstar Game'sDan Houser gave hope to some of us who have been wanting to hear the fate of beleaguered franchise Bully. I say beleaguered because Bully is arguably the most controversial game that Rockstar have ever released. Ironically this is also one of the least violent games that Rockstar has ever released as well; but when the game came out there was a media fire storm because those who didn't play it thought you spent the entire time bullying kids, all because the name of the game was Bully. Again ironically for those who actually played the game know you spend more time protecting people from bullies than almost any thing else. Now on to more cheerful news, in the interview Houser states that after they are done working on Max Payne 3 they will reevaluate a sequel to Bully. Here is what Houser had to say:
"We knew that we didn't want to start doing the Bully sequel instantly at that second with those guys -- even though it is a property that, like Max, we adore and might come back to in the future. There was just no impetus to do that then, So we said, 'You can do Max, and then we will see what we can do with Bully.' So it was really waiting for the slot to open up and the group to open up to at least start work on it."
I will admit that Bully is one of my all time favorite games, in fact I would actually recommend Bully over certain Grand Theft Auto games because the story is a little more concise and the music is amazing. Now this interview doesn't indicate that we are for sure getting a sequel, hell it may not be for another five years but it does give me and others hope that they are actually considering it in light of all the bad press and mediocre sales.
