Crytek Developing HOMEFRONT 2 For 2014
The great development company behind the Crysis series will be creating the next Homefront game but it's not coming anytime soon.
THQannounced today that Crytek, the great development company behind the Crysis series will be creating the next Homefront game. However, you won't be seeing the game anytime soon, because it apparently has been scheduled for a 2014 release on PC and consoles. This is what THQ had to say about Crytek taking over the Homefront franchise:
"Selecting Crytek to take Homefront forward underscores our strategy of working with the industry's best talent. Crytek's industry leading technology and legendary experience in the FPS genre"Crytek also had this to say about the merger:
"the studio has been given "a lot of creative freedom, with THQ allowing it to bring the Homefront world to life in a new and innovative way."To me this is kind of disappointing, because I would like to see Crytek work on something a little more creative than another military first person shooter. Who knows, by the time the game is released in 2014 everybody may hate military first person shooters by then.
