DEAD ISLAND Release Date Announced!

It's difficult to convey just how excited we all are around these parts about Deep Silver's upcoming zombie apocalypse survivor romp Dead Island, which is why we've dedicated more column inches to it than any other game in this site's auspicious history. Personally, I've always been a major fan of such games, and found untold levels of entertainment in the zombie head-bashings of Dead Rising, so to come across a game that looks to have ramped up that particular title's quality, with an unreal level of production value is as nerdgasmic a discovery as I'm ever likely to make. And now, even more excitingly, we have a release date: North American gamers will be able to pick the title up from the 6th of September, and everyone else on the 9th. So that's just three months to wait to play what is already one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2011. I think it's time to dust of my chainsaw...
