Dante is back, and not only is he just as lethal, but he's younger and searching for answers to what will shape him into demon slayer we all remember him to be. With the reboot to the series, Ninja Theory is placing you in control of Dante as he attempts to come to terms with what his life will be existing in a contemporary setting, as the child of a demon and angel. The two sides of his existence directly impact gameplay with Dante capable of calling upon both, demon and angel abilities, with the press of a button. DmC fans fear not, the same fluid combat and iconic badass is back with even more brutality. The newest trailer shows us Dante as he is young, wreckless, and apparently consistently hungover. Maybe his insatiable desires to party non-stop could have an impact on gameplay. I can see it now, hungover and in need of a pick me up, he carries a bottle of holy whiskey. Spit on demons and watch them burst to ashes. With the already drastically new direction of Dante it doesn't seem too far off. http://youtu.be/3LFLln9Bh5I Insanely fluid and satisfying combat is already set to be in place when the game finally ships. So, it may not really matter whether you like the new Dante or not. It is refreshing to see a new take on the iconic character and hopefully he won't be too hungover to make it to stores this year.
