Dragon Ball FighterZ - 10 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
9. Colour Signifies Rank
You might have noticed that each player has a box next to their name as well as having a different colour. These colours actually portray how well a player is doing online.
If you win ten matches against people of the same colour, you’ll go up from one rank to another. It’s a system separate from the title rank, but conveys the same basic principle.
Although this system carries over from previous Arc System Works games like BlazBlue, Dragon Ball FighterZ is likely the first from the developer that a wider audience have played. It’s therefore pretty handy knowledge, because the game doesn’t ever make this mechanic clear.
The order of colour starts off with being completely blank, before going into shades of light and dark green, then yellow, orange and finally ending with a shade of red.
Although this is more an extension of the existing rank system, it can be a pretty great indicator of how skilled a player is... and might make you reconsider challenging them.
