Nintendo cannot help themselves - an expansion into their faithful Mario series had to make an appearance somewhere! Except, this time around, Nintendo did not announce an addition to the main series, instead they decided to embrace two rather charming looking spin-offs. Much like Luigi did before him in both Luigis Mansion titles, Toad takes centre stage in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a spin-off from Super Mario 3D World, and just like Super Mario 3D World, Toad will be tasked with solving rotatable puzzle levels, as well as embracing the typical Mario game play we have all grown to know and love. Details are sparse at the moment, but you can view the trailer below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnLPJ4GibKY Another much-loved Mario sidekick will also be returning in another of his own games. Following in the footsteps of the adorable Kirbys Epic Yarn, Yoshi takes the reins (or should that be wool?) for Yoshis Woolly World. A collaboration between Kirbys Epic Yarn creators Good-Feel Company and Nintendo, Yoshis Woolly World transforms Yoshi and his world into objects made of wool and fabric. The game combines classic Mario platforming action with a vibrant, cute and different world that reacts to you interacting with it. For instance, in the presentation video, Yoshis tongue interacts with the environment, grabbing the fabric to alter and often enhance the landscape. One of the core focuses of Nintendos digital presentation was the emphasis on multiplayer, and Yoshis Woolly World was no exception, with a 2 player mode packaged in when the game lands sometime in 2015.
