E3 2012: Ubisoft Announces New Game Watch Dogs

Ubisoft blows everyone away with new game.

Ubisoft was already having a very strong E3 press conference: they had shown off an amazing demo for Far Cry 3 with trailer, Rayman Wii U demonstration, and then the Assassin's Creed 3 demonstration. So far so good. However, then they dropped a bomb that blew everybody away, they demoed a new IP they have been working on for the past two years called Watch Dogs. It was hands down the best game I have seen at an E3 event in years, people were blown away by the demo so much so that it got the loudest and longest applause of any game so far at E3. Here is the official demo for Watch Dogs: http://youtu.be/FcMRkyoHKeA There was even a trailer to explain the idea behind the game that detailed a look at what we can expect from the game: http://youtu.be/n3F3KW-2ABc Here is what Jonathan Morin, creative director, said:
"Watch Dogs goes beyond the limits of today's open-world games by giving players the ability to control an entire city," "In Watch Dogs, anything connected to the city's Central Operating System becomes a weapon. By pushing the boundaries, we can provide players with action and access to information on a scale that's never been seen in a video game before."
The game is set in an open world controlled where you literally have the ability to hack into almost any system; and there may be co-op but it was so seamless that it is hard to tell if you are controlling the second character or it is a partner. Unfortunately, we don't know what gaming system it is being released on or when the game might be released. People are speculating that it could be on the Wii U, PS3, PC, or Xbox 360 because nobody can figure out what controler was being used during the demo. There is even some speculation that the game might be a next generation game but at this point we just don't know. Hopefully we will know more about the game as E3 goes on, because right now I can almost guarantee this game is going to win the majority of E3 game of the year votes. Tell us what you think of the demo footage. UPDATE:Joystiq is reporting that at the Ubisoft press junket the game is registered for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
