E3 2015: 12 Biggest Moments From Microsoft's Xbox Conference

Two words that'll make you buy an Xbox One? "Backwards Compatibility".

Following what was one hell of a start to E3 with Bethesda's one-two combo of a new gore-filled Doom and Fallout 4, Microsoft stepped up to bat - and knocked it clean out the park. Considering they've had one of the rockiest years in the company's history with the overwhelmingly negative reaction to the Xbox One, it's taken about as long to claw back some footing, gamer goodwill and a slate of titles to invest in - something that if they couldn't deliver here, would've all been for nought. Perhaps now we can finally start this generation in earnest, as the more you think about it, the more it's so incredibly weird Microsoft went from having such a staggering lead in terms of generally positive cultural perception with the 360, only to see it destroyed in one fell swoop thanks to that Kinect-focussed debacle of 2013. That resulted in a mindset where the majority of people actively want to like the brand and console despite such misguided hardware problems, and with an arguably stronger list of first-party exclusives - from Halo to Gears of War, Tomb Raider and Forza - the remaining lineup of 2015 is a mighty promising prospect indeed. These are the major titles that will make or break the Xbox in the coming months, so let us know in the comments what you're looking forward to playing most, and check out our other E3 coverage for more.
