The winning formula cherry picks ripe historical settings full of dramatic conflict; with the latest is set in 190 AD China, during the haphazard Battle of the Three Kingdoms.
The gameplay is an always tight and engrossing mix of large scale chaos with calm commandeering, yet the user interface and artificial intelligence have been overhauled while bringing in some subtle RPG elements to it as well.
If this is your cup of tea, this latest instalment looks to bring the expected with some interesting additions.
