After the one-two punch of relentless video game releases from the first three months of 2019, things slowed down slightly in April - although that is no slight on the quality the games coming out.
May sees the speed set in the same gear, as several of the triple-A titles are waiting in the wings for summer releases. Regardless, that doesn't mean we're lacking in quality games; in fact, we're getting much more interesting and risky ones instead.
Rising trends seem to be: Sony continues its mandate from last month of going massive with its PSVR titles, first-person slow-burn horror games seem to be coming out of the woodwork, plus Xbox is getting a handful of quirky looking indies.
All in all, a strong month with a wicked amount of variety; including a blockbuster or two. Let's have a look then...
