Fez Now Has A Release Date

Players will find themselves switching between 2D and 3D, with the optical illusions frequently attempting to ravage your psychological brain.

Fez has been in development for nearly five years and on Friday, April 13 the Polytron Corporation will break the mold of Wednesday XBLA releases. Gamers will be able to get their hands on the XBLA title for 800 Microsoft Points. Fez looks to be one of the stand-out arcade titles with a bright and vibrant color pallet. Featuring intriguing shifts between perspectives. Players will find themselves switching between 2D and 3D, with the optical illusions frequently attempting to ravage your psychological brain. While the gameplay mechanics may seem odd at first, the story completely justifies the perspective shifts. Players will find themselves in the shoes of a 2D character that has to make his first steps in the third dimension. The game is aiming to make players view the world of Fez in an entirely new way, in order to uncover the mystery of the title. Not much is truly known about why the character must make the voyage, but it certainly is setting itself up to be one of the stand out titles of the year. What do you think? Is the 2D character stepping out into the 3D world to save his loved one, or is he simply just bored of 2Dimensional repetition? http://youtu.be/--gpfYwo5a4
