FIFA 14: 9 Tips To Play Like A Boss

6. Scoring Penalties (With Style)

I advised you on saving them, now this is how to score them. However, this is not just about scoring them; you need to score like a boss. There are three different ways you can do it. The most standard one is to put some finesse on your shots by holding on RB/R1; this puts a nice flight onto the ball and looks sweet when the ball goes in the net. Another is to stutter your run up by pressing B/Circle. This can fool the goalkeeper and sometimes you can see their movement, meaning you can put it in the other direction, though this can be a risky move and the target does move much faster once you have paused the run up. The final option is the piece of brilliance that is the Panenka Chip. Originally brought to us in 1976 by Czech midfielder Antonin Panenka, you can achieve this by holding LB/L1 when striking the ball. This looks great if the keeper dives, but if the keeper stays still then you look rather foolish. This is definitely one to do when you already have the victory assured.
