4. El Monumental - 61,321
The definitions of monumental are 'great in importance, extent, or size' and 'serving as a monument'. In both senses of the word, River Plate's name is perfectly fitting. The 60,000+ capacity concrete behemoth is an iconic stadium usually filled to the brim with fiery Argentine fans. River and their Buenos Aires rivals Boca Juniors stand toe-to-toe with each other in the Superclasico, transforming the bowl into a heated cauldron of fury, with The Observer newspaper stating: "Derby day in Buenos Aires makes the Old Firm game look like a primary school kick-about." Let's hope the atmosphere matches the work put into the creation of the FIFA stadium.
