Alexandre Lacazette: 85

Olivier Giroud: 82

Lucas Pérez: 81

Danny Welbeck: 80

Chuba Akpom: 64

It was about bloody time that Arsène Wenger brought in another striker. Signed from Lyon and arriving amidst much excitement, Alexandre Lacazette has a huge 85 rating in FIFA 18 and was ranked 70th in the Top 100 players. Lacazette is the best pure striker Arsenal have had in years, but he needs some more backup.

Fellow countryman Olivier Giroud is only useful for those who like the big man/little man dynamic up front. His 81 rating is deceptive, because he isn't fast (53 pace), isn't great with the ball (74 dribbling) and can't really link up effectively (a low 70 for passing). Playing Lacazette in attack on his own, with the likes of Mesut Özil and Alexis Sánchez behind him, may be best.

If you can, bring the under-rated 29-year old Lucas Pérez back from a loan at Deportivo and play him as a sub. The same strategy (sans loan) goes for Danny Welbeck, although Chuba Akpom is auxiliary and could be fired out for game time.

Lacazette needs help, in other words, so do what Man Utd do in Career Mode and sign every top striker going.
