FIFA 19: 10 Changes From Last Year's Game You Need To Know
8. The Multi-Pronged Journey
Get the handkerchiefs out and prepare a send off for The Journey's go-to hero since the mode debuted in FIFA 17. The same little Alex Hunter who either netted or missed (depending on how you played) that penalty in a kid's match on playing fields in London is now about to wave goodbye to the series, at least as the main protagonist.
FIFA 19's Journey will bring the curtain down on Alex and focus more on burgeoning tales for his step-sister Kim and on/off mate Danny Williams.
Hunter's not going without a bang though. The Journey: Champions, his third leg, will see EA's fictional young Englishman vie to become Real Madrid's top man now head boy CR7 is gone. If early footage of cut scenes is anything to go by, it promises to be a whirlwind tale.
This is uncharted terrain for the story mode. Sure, EA have dabbled with one match here or there, but they've never really taken the reins off and let players control other characters for any great length of time.
