Not too long ago Manchester United's David De Gea was being hailed as undoubtedly the greatest goalkeeper on planet earth. Gone was the young scrawny Spaniard who struggled to compete with Anders Lindegaard. In his place was the physically dominant world class shot stopper capable of saving the Red Devils when they seriously needed it.

Yet, off the back of a poor 2018 World Cup, De Gea's aura of invincibility gradually started to disappear and a few mistakes began to creep back into his game.

His overall confidence appears to have been seriously hurt during his time with Spain and he's since conceded a gigantic 81 league goals in his last two campaigns. Bear in mind he only let in 54 during the two seasons before that.

At 29 years-old De Gea still has many years ahead of him to recover the world beating form we last saw a couple of seasons ago, but coming into FIFA 21 it looks like his days as one of the game's top shot stoppers are coming to an end... for now.
