1. San Marino, Champions Of The World
San Marino is 62km² of glorious countryside in Northern Italy with a population of around 32,000 who could all fit into League 1 Coventry's Ricoh Arena. To put that into context, London spans 8,382km² with a population of around 14 million people. They're the whipping boys of Europe, and that's what makes this challenge nigh-on impossible. Of course, you can't just go out and sign players, you need to cultivate them, and international football largely comes down to size. The more people you have to choose from, the more chance of a tremendous team. There have been exceptions to the rule, but there's more chance of North Korea declaring world peace than San Marino winning a World Cup. I don't know anybody who's managed it, but can you pick a team of 11 players from a nation half the size of Bournemouth? Can you be the ultimate anomaly in world football?
