Football Manager 2017: 20 Best Assistant Managers

8. Silvino Morais

Football Manager 2017
SI Games

Age: 50.

Club: Free Agent.

Key Stats: 19 Determination, 18 Level of Discipline, 17 Man Management.

Now here's an odd one. Silvino Morais hasn't work as an Assistant Manager at any point in his 15-year coaching career, and last served as a Goalkeeping Coach for one of Portugal's lesser sides. That's his preferred role in FM 2017 too, but he's quite willing to let you talk him into an AM role.

Morais is a great coach, but he's wasted when restricted to such a role. Though his Tactical Knowledge (7) is lacking, Morais' immense Determination makes him a tough, gritty character who'll play a vital link between yourself and the players.

Andy has been with WhatCulture for eight years and is currently WhatCulture's Wrestling Channel Manager. A writer, presenter, and editor with 10+ years of experience in online media, he has been a sponge for all wrestling knowledge since playing an old Royal Rumble 1992 VHS to ruin in his childhood. Having previously worked for Bleacher Report, Andy specialises in short and long-form writing, video presenting, voiceover acting, and editing, all characterised by expert wrestling knowledge and commentary. Andy is as much a fan of 1985 Jim Crockett Promotions as he is present-day AEW and WWE - just don't make him choose between the two.
