Football Manager 2022: 10 Tips To Get You Started
4. Watch Comprehensive Highlights
Sometimes you just want to whiz through a season as fast as possible to get to the juicy transfer window at the end of it. While there is nothing wrong with this approach, and certainly at some point every Football Manager player has been guilty of it, watching the fruits of your labour pay dividends on the pitch can also be a hugely rewarding experience.
By default the game will be set to watch Key Highlights during matches, with the rest of the match being sped through. However, Comprehensive Highlights will give you a much better indicator of how things are going. This can be somewhat time consuming, though it gives you a chance to make adjustments on the fly as well as keep an eye on player positioning.
Football Manager has come a long way since it was called Championship Manager, where matches were played out by coloured circles darting around your screen. Football Manager 2022 sees the return of the 3D match engine and, while no one is likely to mistake it for a real game of football any time soon, it continues to look more and more impressive.
This year has even seen some improvements made to the way players move on the ball, giving pgamers a much better viewing experience than previous iterations.
