During the summer there was understandably a lot of talk about Lionel Messi’s departure from Barecelona, however it was another departure from the Camp Nou that likely raised eyebrows amongst Football Manager fans. Snapped up for only 16million Euros plus another possible 6million in add-ons during the summer by Red Bull Leipzig, Ilaix Moriba has been a popular player among virtual football managers for a couple of years now and this year’s version of the game is no different.

One of only three players in the game with a Potential Ability range of 170 - 200, one being French midfield prodigy Eduardo Camavinga and the other being the next name on this list, Moriba is set to become one of the best midfielders in the game as far as Sports Interactive are concerned.

Given the recent transfer it’s unlikely that you will be able to pry him away from his new club in the first transfer window and when he does become available it’s likely that a high fee may be required. However, if you are able to snatch Moriba from the clutches of the German club then you will have one of the best young midfielders in the game on your hands.
