God of War: Ascension Trailer
Kratos is ready to return, and now we may see him before he becomes the Ghost of Sparta.
It has begun! The highly anticipated return, to the hugely successful God of War franchise is now set to enter full swing with the first official trailer for God of War: Ascension. In addition to the trailer, there is an official Amazon product listing that offers up the next bloody installment for pre-order.
The teaser trailer reveals a familiar voice of the Titan Gaia. We hear her narrating over stylish footage of what appears to be Kratos being tormented and imprisoned. Highlighting what may very well be the life of our much beloved warrior before he becomes the Ghost of Sparta. Gaia very much leads us to believe that this next installment in the series is likely to be a prequel. Fairly fitting with the word "Ascension" in the title. This offers up some interesting ideas of how we will be seeing our rage filled, blood hungry, monster that is the Ghost of Sparta.
While we might be seeing Kratos in a prequel, there are still quite a few possibilities as to how exactly the story will play out. I personally would love to see Kratos before the tragedies of his allegiance with Ares. Only time will tell, and hopefully more information will be revealed soon. Until then, enjoy the teaser trailer and prepare for war.
