10. Patricia
Beginning with one of the most esoteric aspects of Trevor's psyche; his relation to women. At around the midpoint of the game Trevor has a little misunderstanding with gang-leader Martin Madrazo, leading him to kidnap his wife, much to the chagrin of Michael. However, what follows is a heavy does of Stockholm Syndrome as Patricia and Trevor seem to randomly fall in love, for reasons you'll have to convince yourself of by delving into extraneous dialogue gleaned from hanging out with Trevor in between missions, or by making up your own mind when seeing his relationship to his mother following the games credits. Until that easily-missed endpoint comes however, the only semblance of sanity available is Michael's comment on the ludicrous nature of their situation as the pair return from a day out only hours from Patricia being bound and taped up. It was a plot thread I couldn't even begin to get onboard with, and outside of the standard reaction to GTA's crazier moments which consists of just throwing your hands up and going 'Yeah sure!', I was waiting for more questioning of Trevor's motives from the other (slightly) more grounded characters, yet they never came.
