6. Radio Killed the Video Game Star
http://youtu.be/9XE6IftJlro The radio in the GTA series has to be one of the most iconically brilliant features in any modern video game. Its almost a game in and of itself; Rockstar fill the stations with so much content that youll often find yourself forgetting that its pre-recorded, at least in the first few hours of gameplay. Youll lose yourself in the epic track listings and even when youve done the music to death youll find a healthy helping of Rockstars superior writing on WKKT Talk radio, which also showcases real calls from American citizens complaining about their country. Hilarity ensues. You ever get that feeling of isolation when you play a big single-player like GTA IV? The radio (as well as the constant chatter from companions) constantly makes you feel like youre connected to the real world in some way and the experience has been described by some as therapeutic. When we play GTA IV again, were constantly listening to and enjoying the radio. Its such an innovative way to stave off boredom on long drives and for its inception Rockstar must be once again saluted.
