No matter how developers change their games to create a level playing field for all levels and abilities of players, veterans who are able to plough hundreds of hours into the online portion of any game are going to profit from increased experience and items, and even more frustratingly, they're going to know the lay of the land. This naturally means that when you're heading into a Deathmatch in the early hours of your GTA Online experience, you're going to encounter map experts who will have studied every nook and dark corner of the play areas, and who will use their vast knowledge of the terrain to make you look stupid. It's this sort of disparity between player levels that makes it impossible for anyone who buys the game late to get a fair run of the game, unless they're willing to shoulder a lot of deaths early on. And from what we know of gamers, those people simply do not exist.
Tips To Avoid If you can't beat them join them. Especially in Deathmatches, the only way to stop anyone learning maps and getting an advantage over you is to do exactly the same thing, and to pre-empt where they might be hiding to take you out. This is of course easier said than done, but if you're spending enough time in the game, giving some of it over to building your Deathmatch experience shouldn't be an issue: after all, it's one of the most entertaining aspects of the game.
