Detective Chimp is just about the best DC character you've probably never even heard of, which is why it's such a shame his big break in the gaming medium was cut short during the conceptual stage of development.
Created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, DC's most famous chimp (Gorilla Grodd notwithstanding) has been a member of both the Bureau of Amplified Animals and Justice League Dark. He's also pretty much Sherlock Holmes if he was a monkey - what's not to love?
Brandishing a pistol and a nifty little bandanna, this design of Chimp is tailor made for the chaotic playgrounds of the Injustice-verse, and though he didn't appear in the sequel in the end, one can only hope he makes his way to at least one screen before the decade's over.
