Kingdom Hearts D23: 10 Things Fans Need To See

6. Keyblade Transformations

One exciting new gameplay feature of Kingdom Hearts 3 is that every single Keyblade will have a different transformation.

Despite how cool this concept seems, we actually have only seen the feature in action once. Sora's use of dual guns with the star-shaped Keyblade, before turning it into a rocket launcher, is awesome but we really need to see more examples with different Keyblades.

Keyblade transformations as a whole have now been complicated quite a lot by the presence of Drive Forms. Drive Forms seem to be attached to Keyblades now instead of being tied to party members, which makes it appear as if Drive Forms will be counted as Keyblade transformations themselves.

Square Enix really need to define how Keyblade transformations actually work and the difference between them and Drive Forms. Explaining this through gameplay, or just showing us more of the feature itself, would be great to see in the D23 trailer.
