Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has been revealed as the cover star for 2K's upcoming NBA 2K19 release.

The "King of the Court" will grace the game's cover for a second time when it launches on 11 September 2018, but this one is extra special because the series is celebrating a landmark 20-year anniversary. In a 2K press release celebrating the announcement, LeBron said:

“It’s humbling to be on the 20th anniversary cover of a game I’ve played and loved since I was a little kid."

He also noted:

Pre-orders of the game's special edition will include bonus MyTeam content like virtual currency, league packs and special cards. In addition, 25 players will be able to get their hands on the King's Collection line of exclusive Nike apparel and all pre-orders will gain access to the title four days early (7 September).

The cover art is inspired by LeBron's family, upbringing and the phrases (“Strive for Greatness,” “Driven,” and “Equality”) that he lives by.
