6. Fit The System (Even If It Means Giving Up A Gem)
When you're getting down to the business end of the draft, you'll have some tough choices to make, but don't give in to the temptation of signing the best player available if their style is completely wrong. Of course, you won't be able to make every player fit like a glove, but fitting the style must take precedent over sheer quality. If you're handed the options of taking a 90 rated WR such as Calvin Johnson, or a couple of 87 rated receivers who fit your coach's system, take the hit. Making sure your players are all on the same page is key, and a couple of extra points worth of quality means nothing if you get your men playing the right way.
