11. There's A Five Year Time Jump
Almost coincidentally, Marvel's Avengers picks up five years after the events of a destructive incident. If that sounds familiar it's because Avengers: Endgame boasted the exact same time jump, but to Square's credit it does afford their narrative designers a great deal of freedom.
This title is all about players assembling their own version of the Avengers. They've been disassembled, and now they have to be reassembled in a world that seems at odds with itself over whether or not it wants them to return.
Cap's memorial is adorned with tributes, and Thor - although clearly still worthy - has left Mjolnir by it. It's not clear yet what brings them all out of retirement, but it's clear the Odinson reclaims his hammer and goes onto reunite with Tony, Natasha and Bruce later on.
As for Cap? It's unlikely he's dead. And here's why...
