Mass Effect Andromeda: 10 Impressions From The First 10 Hours

1. The Game Will Probably Heavily Divide Fans & Critics

Take this one to the bank: unless Andromeda simply has a very shaky start and blossoms to become a far more confident game later on, this is going to heavily divide critics and especially fans.

It's worth noting that even the controversial Mass Effect 3 scored 89-93 on Metacritic, but with Andromeda's clear lack of polish and the blatant fact it should've been delayed, critics might not be quite so kind this time.

With the game's early hours being widely torn down by outlets such as Giant Bomb and PC Gamer, while Kotaku gave it a conversely positive write-up, it seems reasonable to expect a Metascore of around 75-80 rather than the usual high standard for the series.

After seeing so many recent AAA titles land on or above expectations these past months, Andromeda's release sure is going to be an interesting one.
