Mass Effect Andromeda: 9 Exciting New Rumours You Need To Know
9. It Will Not Come To The Nintendo Switch
Although the Switch does promise to have plentiful third party support, it doesn't seem likely that Andromeda will be making an appearance on the console. Following the Switch's reveal, Bioware has had a number of opportunities during their Mass Effect press to announce a Switch version, but have decided to continue stating that the game will come to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and PlayStation 4 Neo.
It remains to be seen just how much support the Switch will get as its launch lineup is still a mystery. It's believed to have processing power on-par with the Xbox One and potentially even the PS4, but until there's more information released on the graphical output and the launch line-up, it'll remain unconfirmed. It doesn't help that when asked about a possible Switch release, Mass Effect Producer Michael Gamble simply stated that the game will come out on PC, PS4, Neo, and X1.
Likelihood of being true: 9.9/10. It's highly unlikely that Bioware had planned any release on a Nintendo system considering that most of the game's development took place with only the Wii-U to serve as a measuring stick for what a Nintendo system can provide. It seems that for now, the only Mass Effect game available for Nintendo consoles will be ME3 on Wii-U.
