For gamers and WWE fans, today brings a new WWE 2K25 update for The Island that will focus around Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Sicks.

The official WWEGames X account announced last night that something is on the way today:

This comes on the heels of a Fightful Select report that, per a 2K source, this update will be an emotional storyline that uses a lot of previously unused Bray Wyatt content. There will also be various full videos of Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas that "help paint a very deep story".

As of this writing - approximately 10:30am UK time - this update has yet to kick in, but should be arriving at some point later today. To explore this storyline, players need to enter the Island game mode, head to the Deadlands area, and make their way to the cemetery gates.

There are no further details right now on the specifics of this new storyline, nor what unlockables may be a part of this, but fans are already chomping at the bit to get a slice of this new Wyatt action - as highlighted by many already lingering around those cemetary gates in anticipation of this update dropping.

Where the base game of WWE 2K25 is concerned, gamers have two versions of Bray Wyatt available to them. That'd be the standard Bray and the Bray Wyatt '20 model, which is based on the Bray usually seen hosting the Firefly Funhouse segments over the years. On top of that, an nWo character model is unlockable through MyFaction. As for the Wyatt Sicks, the faction was available to players who pre-ordered the standard WWE 2K25 or purchased the Deadman or Bloodline editions of the game.

For The Island, this latest update could well be the much-needed shot in the arm that the mode needs. Much hyped prior to WWE 2K25's release, The Island ended up being a major disappointment to most players, with you slowly meandering around various locations and having to grind to unlock certain minor trinkets and customisations. Essentially, the bulk of players view the mode as simply a cash-grab.

Now, with an Island storyline driven by Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Sicks, that brings attention to the game mode not seen since WWE 2K25's initial release.
