Beenox recently released their newest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man video game, and from the looks of it, Manhattan is primed for chaos.
Showing off numerous thugs, some in full armor, blasting from cover at squad cars. Explosions running rampant as car chases rip through the streets of New York City. Midway through the trailer however we get a glimpse at the enemy, the Iguana. With the reveal of a character not widely popular with the mainstream public, this may be a sign that their inspiration from Arkham City is having them delve deeper into the roots of the comics.
We also finally get a glimpse at how our favorite wall crawler will actually navigate the skyscrapers of the Manhattan skyline, and it's looking great. Fluid movements, and a newly placed camera directly behind Spider-Man should make for some memorable playtime with the game. Glimpses of the combat are placed on display. While it appears to be the same brawling mentality from previous games, the idea of similar countering and combat timing from Arkham City are much welcomed additions.
There's only one way to truly tell just how well Beenox's latest installment uses the Spider-Man property and that's to keep an eye out for it when it launches on June 26th. Feast your eyes on the web slinging goodness.http://youtu.be/cZmCO3BwYRc
