Nintendo Switch Trailer: 10 Easter Eggs, Secrets & References You Totally Missed
It's Nintendo, of course there's a ton to see below the surface.
You don't usually expect a console's unveiling to be as jam-packed with secrets, 'blink-and-you'll-miss-it' references and easter eggs as a game trailer, but I suppose with Nintendo taking so long to unveil the Switch - and with the genuine need to get it right- they wanted to please as many people as possible.
As such, the Switch's teaser was an uber-slick runthrough of its many core features, ostensibly revolving around the idea of taking what we'd refer to as 'the home console experience' on the go.
You can check out the video above for our initial take following the announcement (Spoilers: I'm psyched), and all that leaves is to go back over the teaser and mine it for info.
To be honest, it feels like Nintendo know exactly what they're doing this time around. There's everything from a handful of returning franchises, tantalising looks at major third-party publisher support, the console's 'switch' feature genuinely being a game-changer and everything in between.
It's all very exciting, and with 10 million views overnight on the official teaser, it seems the world is pretty hyped too. Just make sure you're up to speed...

10. Mario Kart 8 Remaster - King Boo Is Back?
Nintendo aren't ones for remasters or 'definitive editions' - short of doing them the utmost justice like say, the re-release of Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 or even the gorgeous Wind Waker.
That said, we saw a 'new' Mario Kart in the trailer that looks exactly the same as Mario Kart 8, save for 1. The appearance of King Boo, who was missing from the original roster, and 2. What looks like a power-up selector in the top corner, meaning you can cycle between multiple pick-ups before deploying them.
It's very possible Nintendo are just releasing a 'Switch version' of Mario Kart, or this is some sort of 'definitive edition', including all the past DLC into one robust, portable package. Time will tell.
