Pokémon Let’s Go - Ranking Every Rideable Pokémon
Gotta ride ‘em all!
Pokemon has always had a dedicated, hardcore fanbase, but in the last few years it’s rocketed right back to the top of cultural relevance again. First there was Pokémon Go, the mobile game that took the world by storm. Though it doesn’t boast quite the player base it had in the summer of 2016, Go’s rollout of updates have seen new Pokémon added, much better gyms than at launch, plus various quests and raids to keep things feeling fresh.
Following on from that, there was the announcement and then trailer for the Ryan Reynolds led Detective Pikachu, and finally the release of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee for the Nintendo Switch.
The game is a remake of Pokémon Yellow and follows the same story, though there are new additions to freshen things up. Alolan forms of Gen I Pokémon like Vulpix, Geodude and Sandshrew can all be used in Let’s Go, and rather than random encounters, Pokemon can now be seen roaming in the wild; shiny forms included.
One of if not the most anticipated feature though, is rideable Pokémon. There’s no bikes this time around, but there are 18 different Pokémon willing to let their trainer (and Pikachu/Eevee) climb aboard.
