Now who could forget the moment when Sony announced that they had learnt from their past mistakes, and are introducing the price of the PS4 at 399 in Europe, $399 in USA and £349 for the British. This makes it $100 cheaper than the Xbox One, and represents a marked contrast to the $599 launch price of the PS3. Sony have clearly understood what we gamer's asked for and have delivered in terms of price. Xbox One have justified their price tag of $499 by flagging the inclusion of Kinect as standard, however Sony are offering to throw in the Playstation Eye as a extra peripheral for $59. I believe that motion control will only appeal to younger gamers due to the excitement and energy needed to effectively play the game standing up, and the constant movement of limbs. I mean when was the last time anyone played Call Of Duty standing up with motion controls for 3 hours? I know that I personally prefer the feel, comfort and experience of playing with a controller in my hand, to add to this when buying the Xbox One, you don't really get a choice as the Kinect is standard however what if you don't have any plans to use the Kinect system? The softer approach that Sony has taken stands out due to giving the gamer a choice. This suggests that the PS4 is for core gamers, while the Xbox One is embracing a casual crowd.
