In Development: Everwild

Making games since 1985, this dev really hit its stride in the mid-90s in a partnership with Nintendo, resulting in such stone-cold classics as Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 64, Killer Instinct, and Banjo Kazooie...just to name a few.

Then in 2002, Microsoft bought them and the games just weren't as good: ranging from mildly average (Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Kameo: Elements of Power) to outright bad (Perfect Dark Zero)...then they were regulated to creating thankless Kinect games.

Recent times have seen the tides change with Sea of Thieves (pun intended). While it released to mixed reviews, it has grown sturdy sea legs and become a unique and enjoyable multiplayer experience with consistent updates.

Their new creative boost has seen them also revive their retro arcade beat-em-up Battletoads, in a hilariously barmy reboot, and work on the lush fantasy game Everwild. Sure...the Microsoft years have been a bumpy road for the company, but now it looks to be in an amicable spot with a bright future.
