SNES Classic Mini: 20 Video Games It Must Have

3. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

Adventure of the finest sort: big, exciting and perhaps the best 2D Zelda entry ever made for home consoles.

This not only expanded the story of The Legend of Zelda but vastly improved the flow of the game. Combat and movement were both smoother compared to the first two games and the game allowed for diagonal movement making combat more sophisticated.

The quality and stature of this game is inescapable: dungeons, enemies, items and music are all beyond excellent. Realising the scope of the map after you think you've beaten the game was a revelation, and practically doubled the adventure as you no doubt jumped straight back for a second playthrough.

This has to be on the SNES Mini, if only to follow on from its older brothers on the NES Classic.

Bryan Langley’s first console was the Super Nintendo and he hasn’t stopped using his opposable thumbs since. He is based in Bristol, UK and is still searchin' for them glory days he never had.
