Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Release Date Confirmed
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is hunkering down in the jungle until its newly announced August release date.
With only two true sniping games releasing this year, Sniper Elite V2 and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, it seemed that they could have very easily been facing off against each other. Luckily for them, this will not be the case. With Sniper Elite V2 a little over a week from launch on May 5 in the UK (May 1 in the US), Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be arriving on August 21. Perhaps this is for the best. Now, those sniping fans torn between experiences have enough time to fill up on Sniper Elite before Ghost Warrior 2. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is running off of the beautiful CryEngine 3. This means sniping fans are in for a graphical treat as they silently maneuver through a wide range of environments. Jungles are intricately designed, with foliage and lumbering trees above you. These will provide the perfect cover a sniper requires. CryEngine 3 running the title should allow gamers to expect a wide range of improvements with enemy AI, shot brutality, and learning that patience is key for the perfect shot. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be seeing a multi-platform launch on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Be sure to watch for more previews and coverage to arrive in the coming months.
