Star Trek: 10 Video Games That Would Be Better In A Holodeck

10. Anything On Kinect

Kinect_Lifestyle1 Microsoft introduced the Kinnect in November 2010 to much fanfare. It has since been met with a resounding "Meh". Sure it is a great concept, who wouldn't love to act out their favorite games? Yet the best we have gotten so far is some pretty decent exercise based games, some innovative kids games and a couple of arcade style time wasters. As fun as Fruit Ninja is to play when you have a couple of extra minutes on your hands, these games rarely pull you in for more than those handful of clock ticks. So, lets move the whole catalog onto the holodeck! At least then we can fully immerse ourselves into our time suck activities. Tennis, golf, ping pong, baseball, all of the sporting events wind up here. Now that cheesy river raft game from Kinect Adventures could actually be fun! Those waterfalls and coin jumps become much more invigorating when you're jumping in the raft itself vs the center of your living room. Kinect was an ambitious first attempt at motion capture, virtual reality style games that has so far fallen a little flat. So maybe we just package the games up in a time capsule and see what happens the Starfleet computer system gets a hold of them.
