Star Wars Battlefront: 10 Burning Questions EA Need To Answer
2. Will This Just Be Another Battlefield Disaster?
Like it or not, any FPS that comes out of the EA labs for the next 10 years will be facing the same questions about performance, stability, and bugs that have blighted Battlefield since its release. Not even a year ago now the company were having to stand in front of the gaming public with their tales firmly between their legs and apologise for the shambles that was BF4's launch. "There is a chance", EA boss Andrew Wilson acknowledged, "that there are things you are going to miss through the development cycle. The situation we had was unacceptable. For the team it was unacceptable. But when you do things like that you can never guarantee. It would be disingenuous for me to sit here and say, 'we will never have an issue again,' because that would mean we were never going to push the boundaries again". An admirable admission, and one that carried enough weight with the game's owners to stick around long enough for it to be properly finished, but with Battlefront's release scheduled so close to that of the movie, they can seldom afford a slip-up this time.
