Highly unlikely, but what if the previous point's scene is actually from within Starkiller base? I
The only dissuading factor is the colourful trees, but we did see a forest during the 'Fire the weapon' scene in The Force Awakens. I'm more fixated on the background flag with the Imperial logo, and going off the notion of our protagonist helping set up or have some association with the First Order.
If Battlefront II's hero perishes when Starkiller was destroyed, what a way to end the story that would be, adding weight to a scene that in the movie, is otherwise played off as a giant, fist-punching "F-YEAH!" moment.
From what little tone is gleaned from a quick-paced trailer, there's definitely possibility that Battlefront II is playing into the more grounded themes of Rogue One, highlighting what happens on the ground whilst the The Force Awakens focusses elsewhere.
