Confirming leaks made prior to the start of the show, Ubisoft premiered a trailer for their new Far Cry 5 spin-off New Dawn, which takes place in a post-apocalyptic future Hope County 17 years following the end of the previous game.

It's clear from the trailer that the tone is going to be decidedly goofier than the mainline Far Cry titles, and the aesthetic has unmistakably borrowed a few cues from Rage 2's neon-tinged style.

The trailer focuses primarily on the game's colourful villains known as The Twins, Mickey and Lou, who stalk the land slaughtering anyone who gets in their way or has something they want.

The game will also feature co-op play for those who want to share the experience with a pal. And best of all, fans don't have long to wait, as New Dawn will release the day after Valentine's for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
