8 Epic Video Game Moments That Were TOO EASY
1. Effect & Cause - Titanfall 2
And finally, we have the only gaming moment on this list with its own Wikipedia page - the "Effect and Cause" mission from Titanfall 2's phenomenal single-player campaign.
Effect and Cause is fondly remembered a decade since Titanfall 2's release due to its highly innovative time travel mechanic, where players can switch between the past and present at the press of a button, traversing the ARES Division in both its wrecked current state and as it was formerly in tact.
Players need to switch between the two timelines in order to progress through the level and reach areas that are inaccessible in the other, while also dodging threats present in each version.
Its fiendish cleverness is undeniable, but Effect and Cause is also so wrapped up in its marvelously executed gimmick that it doesn't add much in the way of difficulty on top.
Neither the combat nor the traversal offer much trouble at all, Respawn Entertainment perhaps feeling that the level's conceptually bewildering nature was more than enough.
But a little more challenge to accompany its obviously ingenious design wouldn't have gone amiss.
