3. Paper Mario Wii U
Paper Mario is an amazing creation. Ever since first meeting him on the N64, I've kind of been fascinated by the ways Nintendo can seem to totally reinvent their characters. Paper Mario is a wafer-thin version of the titular plumber who exists on a 2D plain. The Kingdom is really a rather different world in 2D, taking a more light-hearted and visually stunning approach. Super Paper Mario on the Wii changed things up even more with the ability to switch the world left or right, revealing that the world was actually 3D (not totally unlike Fez). A Paper Mario on Wii U almost seems inevitable, given that Nintendo is still working with the character (a Paper Mario game just came out on 3DS), so I for one will be looking out for information on this one. I still would have loved to see Paper Mario in the Smash Bros. roster, though.
