WWE 12 Sin Cara Cover In Mexico

In addition to consciously becoming more and more like an EA Sports franchise (look at the new title for a start), THQ's WWE 12 will have a special latino themed superstar on the front cover of the game in Mexico. Just like the FIFA franchise which regularly has different footballers on the covers in different countries. For Mexico, it won't be John Cena, The Rock or Randy Orton but instead the high flying Sin Cara, the CMLL and Mexico wrestling legend Mistico who signed for the American company at the beginning of the year in an attempt to further enhance the hispanic market. The WWE is huge in Mexico and is becoming bigger in countries like Spain and this year alone we've seen extraordinary pushes for Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara, seen as the next generation of stars to take-over from Rey Mysterio. And with Sin Cara selling $75 dollar masks at live events, you can probably expect more of a push for the wrestler between now and Wrestlemania in May. We've already seen a recent big storyline with the wrestler where an imposter Sin Cara (played by Hunico) turned up and they had the battle of the luchadors at the recent Hell in a Cell event last Sunday to see who was "the real Sin Cara". The Sin Cara cover will only be available at retail in Mexico but don't worry fans everywhere else, THQ says users will have the ability to download the Sin Cara cover. Elsewhere the standard WWE 12 cover feature Randy Orton but there is also a "People's Edition" that features The Rock. WWE 12 will be available on November 25th.
